Building Foundations for a Bright Future: Our New Nursery is Opening Soon!
Confirmed: our new nursery opens September 2025!
We are delighted to confirm that we have secured funding to open our new nursery, and we will therefore be able to welcome our youngest learners to our new teacher-led early years provision from September 2025. The funding will enable us to implement exciting internal and external plans for our nursery to provide a welcoming, well-equipped space where children aged 2-4 can play, explore and develop essential early skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.
About our nursery
Our nursery will provide flexible, high-quality early years education tailored to meet the needs of local families. It will offer:
- Spaces for 2, 3 and 4 year olds daily from 8:40am to 3:10pm
- Access to the free early education entitlements (subject to eligibility where appropriate)
- A teacher-led curriculum, with qualified teaching staff, following the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring a balanced approach to play-based and structured learning
- A focus on indoor and outdoor classroom experiences, fostering curiosity, confidence and independence
- Potential for wraparound and holiday care once the nursery is full, and subject to parental demand.
Community support
A recent consultation showed overwhelming enthusiasm for this initiative, with 97% of respondents in favour of lowering the school's age range to enable a school-led nursery to open. One parent commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity for younger siblings to join the school community. It's a great initiative that will benefit many families."
