Wellbeing and Pastoral Support

Family Engagement Officer - Jane Lynch

At Brookwood Primary School, we understand that a strong partnership between home and school is key to every child’s success. Our Family Engagement Officer (FEO) is here to support children and families in a variety of ways, ensuring that everyone feels included, informed, and empowered.

What does the Family Engagement Officer do?

  • Builds positive relationships between school and families to create a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Provides guidance and practical support for parents and carers on issues that may affect a child’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Supports attendance and punctuality, working closely with families to overcome barriers and promote good habits.
  • Offers advice and signposting to local services for housing, finance, mental health, and other family needs.
  • Encourages parental involvement in school life, helping families engage with events, workshops, and learning opportunities.
  • Provides pastoral support for children, offering a safe space to talk, emotional support, and strategies to help them feel happy and confident in school.

How can the FEO help you? If you have concerns about your child’s attendance, wellbeing, or need help accessing support, our Family Engagement Officer is here to listen and assist. Together, we can ensure your child thrives both in school and at home.
