Friends of Brookwood School (FOBS)
Friends of Brookwood School (FOBS) is a group of parents, carers and staff who volunteer their time to raise valuable funds to support the school via fundraising events and initiatives. Being part of FOBS is a great way to get to know other parents, have fun and help with events that support the school and enrich the children’s education at the same time.
All school parents and carers are automatically a member of FOBS. How involved you choose to become is up to you!
Get Involved
There are many ways you can get involved:
- Join us at our meetings. We begin every year with a face to face AGM in September and in preparation for events, we have meetings via Zoom. Everyone is welcome to come and suggest ideas, give feedback on events or just to listen to what we have planned.
- Help promote FOBS events and spread the news to your class, either through your class WhatsApp group or just by chatting at the gates.
- Help out with an event: From event lead ups and behind the scenes organisation, to helping on the day or just turning up to support - all of these things make a huge difference!

Our fundrasing efforts have enabled us to support the school in providing:
- A new KS1 library
- Refurbishment of the children's centre in becoming the Wellbeing Hub
- Trip subsidies
- Panto subsidies
- Colour run for Year 6 leavers
- New PA system for the hall for assemblies and productions
- £100 per year per class and the Wellbeing Hub for resources
- A new outdoor gazebo/shelter for the playground
